This National Monument was built to honor those who died during Malaysia’s struggle for freedom and independence. Built in 1966, this monument is one of the largest bronze statues in the world at 15.5 meters tall. One of the largest temples in Kuala Lumpur that pays homage to the Hindu God, Batu Caves attracts thousands of worshippers and tourists, especially during the annual Hindu festival, Thaipusam. Discovered in 1892, this limestone cave is 400 meters long and 100 meters high.
