Kuala Selangor Fire flies colonies

Kuala Selangor is a small coastal village northwest of Kuala Lumpur. On this river you can spot the famous fireflies during evenings/nights. The fireflies all are found on the mangrove tree species called berembang. It is said that this is one of the biggest firefly colonies in the world.

Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary

Launching is a small village where you can find an elephant sanctuary named Kuala Gandah The elephant sanctuary was established in 1989 within the Kraus Wildlife Reserve, and is managed by the Malaysian Department of Wildlife and National Parks. Here many orphaned elephants are raised and given shelter.





 

Forest Research Institute Msia’s (FRIM)

FRIM offers a back-to-nature experience and remains of an old Orang Asli settlement. Waterfall and river cutting through this forest reserve adds serenity to this luxurious landscape. There are four jungle tracks, all of which will take visitors through some spectacular secondary jungle. The Canopy Walk offers the perfect vantage point from which to observe birds and tropical canopy flora.

Putrajaya Wet Land

At the very heart of Putrajaya is the Putrajaya Wetland with a natural landscape dominated by Putrajaya Lake, The Lake and Wetland are two of the most distinctive features of the city.
