The Redang archipelago is comprised of nine islands including Lima Island, Paku Besar Island, Paku Kecil Island, Kerengga Besar Island, Kerengga Kecil Island, Ekor Tebu Island, Ling Island, Pinang Island and Redang Island. Like Perhentian Island, the Redang archipelago is a common temporary anchorage for traders travelling between Malaysia and Thailand.

The best time to visit these islands is from March to October. Redang Island is one of the largest islands off the east coast of Malaysia. It is home to 3,000 species of fish, 1,000 species of mollusks and 500 species of reef building coral. Staghorn corals are common in shallow areas and provide shelter for a variety of small fish and other sea animals whereas sea fans, soft tree corals and cup corals are found in deeper water.

All resorts offer island hopping and snorkeling trips to several different locations. These include the famous Marine Park Center, Tanjung Mak Cantik and Tanjung Tengah. Rental equipment such as flippers and goggles will be provided when you go snorkeling.
