Notre Dame Cathedral

Known as the Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral or the Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception, this basilica is located in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. This is a must-visit for its impressive gothic and Roman architecture. All the materials used to build the cathedral have been imported from France.

China Town

Cholon is Vietnam’s largest China Town dating back to 1778. Visit Binh Tay Market to find fresh produce and various Vietnamese goods with a bit of Chinese flavor. Be sure to check out Thien Hau Temple, Quan Am Temple, and Cholon Mosque.

Binh Tay Market

Located in China Town, this is the largest market in the city with its shops selling various items. The outdoor wet market is only open in the mornings and is filled with fresh ingredients to cook Vietnamese and Chinese food. Inside the market is where visitors will find mostly dried and preserved type of ingredients such as nuts and dried fruits.





 

Cu Chi Tunnels

This 75 mile long complex of tunnels at Cu Chi has been preserved by the government and turned into a war memorial park with two different display sites, Ben Dinh and Ben Duoc. Visitors can crawl in the tunnel to see how people lived and ate. There are also various examples of traps used and remnants of bomb craters. You can also try out a few assault rifles such as the M16 and the AK47.

War Remnants Museum

Here visitors will learn about the history of the Vietnam War as the museum is home to more than 20,000 documents, exhibits, films and artifacts. Visitors will also get a rare chance to see some of the experimental weapons used in the war.
