Mount Kinabalu is the highest peak in Southeast Asia and Malaysia’s first UNESCO World Heritage site. See the diverse flora and fauna life in Kinabalu’s four climate zones such as the carnivorous pitcher plants, the elusive Raffiesia in the lowlands and the Hornbils.
First developed by the Japanese during World War II, the hot spring’s minerals help improve blood and lymphatic circulation for better skin and health. Rejuvenate yourself and take a dip in its waters to relieve your muscles and aches.
Built on the grounds of the former British Governor’s Residence and where the Sabah State Assembly sessions were held. The Sabah State museum consists of several building such as the Exhibition Galleries, the Heritage village and the Sabah Art gallery houses Sabah’s talented artists.
Built in 1980, the Puh Toh Tze Temple is a Buddhist temple with traditional Chinese roofing and structure. Ten large statues of deities adorn the temple, with the Goddess of Mercy, Kwan Yin, standing at the main entrance of the temple.
Located along the waterfront in Kota Kinabalu, a myriad of stalls sell fried noodles, fried snacks, cooked seafood and much more. The wet market offers a variety of options including big yellowfin tuna, sharks, stingray, puffer fish and spanner crabs. Fresh produce such as vegetables, fruits, spices and herbs can be found at the dry market.
