Sabah presents a wonderland of natural scenery, lush primary rainforest, vibrant coral reefs, and mysterious indigenous cultures. It is, in my opinion, Southeast Asia’s hidden treasure. A playground for adventure seekers, extreme sportsters, and bums in search of the ultimate beach, Sabah rewards those who venture here with a holiday in an unspoiled paradise.

HIGHLIGHTS

Wetland River Cruise Tour

This river cruise tour is also operated by Borneo Authentic Adventure, the same company that runs the unique seaside Tempurung Lodge at Kuala Penyu and this unique river cruise will showcase the importance of the Sabah Wetlands while seeing some of the most amazing wetland creatures like the Proboscis Monkey and Fireflies.

Proboscis Monkeys

Proboscis Monkey that inhabit the unique reverie environment and be amazed and mesmerized by the fireflies that light up the night sky along the river on a fine night. Embark on a river cruise and enjoy a village style dinner taking in the sights and sounds of this natural setting.

Poring Hot Spring

Here is the best place to soak away your sores and aches of muscles in the hot sulphuric minerals of the spring, claimed to have curative powers and very popular among the locals. Pay a nominal fees then you can soak in the outdoor hot spring for relaxing bath or the kids can have a fun time in the rock pool.

Poring Canopy Walk

There are 3 bridges that run a total length of 158 meters. All it really is, is a wooden plank less than a foot across supported by a steel ladder and suspended with study ropes. Netting is woven into the ropes on each side which create a safety net in case you slip from the plank.

Kinabalu Park

Kinabalu Park, the entrance to Mount Kinabalu, is located at 1,585 meters above sea level and is the main starting point for the summit trail that leads to the top. The mountains have a fascinating geological history. The mighty Mount Kinabalu is actually a granite massif that was later thrust upwards through the crust of the surface.

Filipino Market

Many tour companies will end this tour at the Handicraft Market, formerly known as Filipino Market. The Handicraft Market is the place for souvenirs hunters. Tourists and even locals will come here to bargain and search for items like batik, t-shirt, key chain, post card, local handicraft, stones, and many other tourists’ takeaways. This market opens from 10am to 6pm.
